SUMMARY:MN Permit to Carry Class - Saturday
DESCRIPTION:This is an 7-hour course designed for men and women who want to get their MN permit to carry a handgun; new or renewal. Class hours are 8:00am to 3:00pm\, we usually get done between 2:00pm to 3:00pm. \nA law enforcement officer covers the legal aspects of carrying a handgun in the State of MN and answers questions. The shooting range exercise portion of the class covers basic defensive shooting positions\, which is different than straight-on target shooting. We also cover the basics of handguns\, ammunition\, safe firearm handling\, rules of using and storing a firearm\, mental awareness\, mindset\, physiological and psychological reactions to a life-threatening encounter\, emotional aftermath of a defensive shooting\, and more. \nFor class you will need a pistol or revolver to complete the range exercise. Please bring all your magazines or speedloaders. You will need up to 100 rounds of ammunition. Please bring eye and ear protection with you\, if you have them. If you don’t have a handgun please call on the process of using a shop handgun. \nCLASS COST IS $95 PER PERSON. CALL TO REGISTER. \nIf you are able to do the range exercise before class\, you may do so\, call to set up a time. You will be able to get done with class earlier. \n* Due to questions and information please call Shooting Sports at 320-632-9204 to register. Class starts at 8:00am. Please arrive around 7:30am to register for class. Bring snacks and/or lunch for yourself to have during breaks. \nPlease note according to the MN BCA there is not a different class for new and renewal permits.  The required class materials are to be covered every 5 years by an individual.
